I've wanted to do an Art Nouveau/Mucha piece for a while and =ssst's recent card series has inspired me to try it. It's also worth noting that there is influence from ~AtixVector who has a fantastic "Crazy For Vector" series <3

I've done this in my style vs Mucha's - so more detail towards elements of his work - for instance his way of shading and line art.

This is also now a premium tutorial over at VectorTuts+! I'll update this once the Tuts+ Marketplace item is available for download for non-premium members :)

I've used the same stock as I did for my Monochrome Portrait. It's good to show you can do more than one thing with a piece of stock and still be creative!

the thing i find most fun and difficult to draw when i try mucha style is the hair. and i wont start talking about backgrounds. awsome drawing

The hair is a really complex element with Mucha - it's basically the line art which is a ballache.
