Please full view for the detail :)

When I saw the original of this image, I loved her eyes. I really don't know who she is - but I have been told she is a JPop singer. I am slowly forcing myself to do portraits which show more clothes and neck detail, as this is something I tend to avoid. I also played further with hair technics.

So here is my portrait of her and the stats are as follows:

The clothes _ neck do look good. The hairs definitely very different, but I like it, not sure if it's better than the usual style, it might be, I cann't decide.

I am not sure with it. I really want to experiment more with different technics of doing hair - as it's my favourite part of most graphics.

I guess we all are developing with whatever style art we do - if we don't it gets boring, so I am forcing myself to experiment with the different elements and trying to learn to do clothes :|

Not sure about the hair technique, but the skin in general and face in particular are so very nicely done, amazing :D

:iconfadingamanda:
the hair sort of looks more...confined, did you invert the selection after doing the shaiding on the hair?
:iconchewedkandi:
Yeah - I do that with most... but on this one I duplicated the hair strand layers and blurred them then set the layer blend mode to "soft light" and reduced the opacity to summit like 10% to bring the colour out more. Do you know what I mean?
:iconchewedkandi:
Not sure myself... but hey we need to experiment don't we!
:iconfadingamanda:
Yeah, I've been playing on with my techniques with everything today and yesterday, I seem to be making it more complicated for myself.
:iconchewedkandi:
Which program do you use? What area are you playing with new technics with?
:iconfadingamanda:
I use psp8, and basically all areas really, mainly shading.
