When I saw this image, I knew I wanted to vector it. There was something about it which pulled me to it.
`arachnid15 is one of my favourite photographers, those who have me on watch may recognise some submissions have references from his gallery. He gives me full permission and I still ask whenever I wanna vector something. I dunno, I can't just pick a photo and start... I have to make sure it's cool I can touch _that_ one.
So I started this on Saturday and decided to go backward and forwards to it. Sadly on Saturday I started to get earache... which in a way I kinda found ironic since part of the focal point of this is the earplug.
Last night I had 1 hour sleep. I ran out of painkillers, no where was open for me to buy some paracetamols and I was in pain. I saw was because at 6am this morning, I jumped in a cab to the nearest place open and stocked up on Ibubrofen and Paracetamol... and cigarettes... I've went through nearly 20 already this morning just trying to get my mind off my earache.
I've got a doctors appointment at 3.40pm today. I'm actually looking forward to it.
So anyway, from a mixture of earache, loads of music and nicotine... and a dash of sleep deprivation... this is the finished vector.
Made in Illustrator, 100% vector... standard vector brushes included in Illustrator to produce the texture effect... I wanted to try making my own textures, it works ... also wanted to do something which wasn't all about the eyes and hair. RAWR!
For those who require proof of the texture being pure vector: [link]
I dont know how you made it in illustrator o_o
