Bet you didn't expect this from me
As a kid I used to draw two animals... badgers (my favourite animal) and dragons. I decided to do a dragon - dur... well who wants to see a little black, white and grey blob? Also, dragons I guess can be drawn in many different ways and have your own creative elements to it.
If you don't know, this is my second piece using Illustrator, previously I said I would marry it and have it's babies... I am now going to have a blood transfusion and hope I will start having blood in gradient paths... as abstract as that sounds.
So anyway, this is my first 100% without reference digiart... very proud of myself. It is something I have wanted to achieve for a while... and I feel as if I really have achieved something. Last vector I was learning how to do my previous portraits in Illustrator using more or less the same technics... this time I have learnt vector sketching, gradients and of course working without reference. I love learning new things! I guess the next step is gradient meshing... eek! It looks too complicated, so excuse me if I go back to my comfort zone for the next couple of pieces before I go there!
If the demand is great enough, I shall make Kyt into a wallpaper
