I really liked the concept of ^pica-ae's typography contest... Bring Your Type to Life and thought - well I'm always saying I should improve my typography skill... oh hai money, meet my mouth! So here I am, trying to improve my typography skills!

So I've done yet another calligram, this time of a cow

I really like this image. I like the detail you put in the grass and also in the shadowing. Especially how you have some blades of grass peaking behind the letters. Maybe placing some other farm images in the background or even a distant farm across the landscape would give it some flare but that is always up the artist of course. The change in color sequence of the green as your viewers eye move towards the back of the image viewer is a great touch. In comparison to your "meow" and "woof" images, I like this one the best. I love your work!

I would love to see more detail in those of the cat and dog, to me they were a bit too similar, especially in color. A 'dog-paw' (or fish carcasses in the "meow" image) pattern might be nice as a background as well. The placing of the udders aren't exactly in the correct 'o'. Please make sure that you decorate your images with the correct proprtions accroding to the animal. Perhaps tones of brown could be used in the case of "WOOF", as it symbolizes traditional pictures of dogs. Otherwise I love it and would love to see more of your art!

I have no idea how to do the drop shadow... any ideas? I'm trying to do it in a similar style of my other ones but the floating letters doesn't seem right for a big heavy cow!
