Artist's Comments
Over the past few months and of course in the past, I have read so many people stepping on their soap box declaring what vector (and vexel) artists should be doing with their craft.
Should we be using source images and produce something which is like the original? Should we be venturing out into other styles and muses? Should we vector/vexel celebrities? Should we avoid realism vectors/vexels because they are too true to the original? Should we be following some set development path dictated by someone who thinks they know better? Well Mr Vector says... STFU. Vector/vexel what you want. Do it for fun. Do it for kicks. Do it for yourself. Develop how you want to and if you want to. DeviantART is a platform for you to show off your craft... regardless if it's something Andy Warhol would cream his pants over or a simple photo of your pet dog. Don't let those who think they know better change your opinions on something you enjoy doing... unless you really want to of course Mr Vector is `turn2002 - I did you proud fella. |

Artists can color the sky red because they know it's blue. Those of us who aren't artists must color things the way they really are or people might think we're stupid.

Some graphic design forums, are saying that anyone can do vectors. Plus the people that do them, are unskilled and can't see beyond the pen and pencil tool.
Unskilled my arse!
