This is Melissa. She turns 21 on the 31st of January. She works with me. She is one of these people who are always fashionable... seriously, the latest British clothing trends... she's got it.

I took loads of photos of her about 9 months ago with the idea of doing a realism portrait of her and I always loved this one photo. I never actually got around to it and I thought with her birthday looming I would do this of her.

Not a usual route for me to take with bright colours... but I think it goes well with the person :)

i really like the illustration feel it's got to it. nice use of line thickness contrast & contrast and the bright colors are great. the ear may be a bit lacking though.

Great use of the colours, bright but yet as pastel, somewhat subdued colours. Allthough I feel you have been a little sloppy with the lips as well as with the necklace which seems to end a bit too abruptly around her neck. Other than that I find this a great deviation! Keep up the good work!

Great as usual, but I think it's the hair line that's bothering me.
Shouldn't there be a little hair at the temple above the ear? :P
Then again I have no Ref so maybe that's the way your friend's hair looks. ^^;

Well, anyway this will make a great gift. *Is jealous*
