Want a paper like texture applied to your vector, but either unsure what to use or uncomfortable with using the features of AI?
Here is a pack of 4 100% vector textures for Adobe Illustrator CS to CS5.
This pack could not be put together if it was not for the 2 original stock artists ~bashcorpo
- To be used within dA only.
- Maybe used in dA prints.
- Please notify myself and the stock artist on use and credit us (the stock provider is linked in the examples below if you wish to make sure who created it).
- Not to be repackaged and/or modified for redistribution. How to use:
Simply open the texture you wish to use, copy the object and paste it onto of your vector. You can resize the object to the size of your canvas and needless to say because it is 100% vector, that texture wont pixelate.
Once you have copied over, play around with the layer opacity settings. I recommend multiply as it gives a good impression of the texture. How it was created:

I used LiveTrace on a resized version of the original stock texture and played around with the settings to try and create a smaller file size for saving. The result was then expanded and then I created an envelope distort/mesh of 1x1. I then saved the file as an AI CS compatible .ai file.
Each texture took about 5 mins to make, 2 mins to apply - learn how to do it yourself with the above tutorial, it's that easy.Examples of use:
To show you what each of the textures are capable of doing I have applied them and played around with them (and shared the settings) in the below examples:

Example 2 - White Crumbled Paper Texture.ai used
Example 3 - Grunge Paper 9.ai used
