Slimmer of the Week!

Yesterday was my weigh in... and in the past week I've lost 3.5lbs (1.6kg)! Making my total weight loss now 12.5lbs (5.7kg)! So close to losing a stone... oh so close :eager:

Not only that, but I am Slimmer of the Week this week :D (which means I lost the most weight in my group :giggle: )

I'm hoping to hit the stone mark before my birthday at the end of the month, so just 1.5lbs to lose in 2 weeks... think I can do it?! :woohoo:

PS: having Chicken and king prawn in Black Bean sauce with rice tonight for dinner... nom nom nom :D

I'm Lovin' It

Oh it's an easy life!

Setting Daily Deviations, trying out vector resources, reading my favourite vector websites and working on my new vector tutorial... stopping in between to sing one of the new Linkin Park songs on Rockband.

Life is GOOD!

I'm a firm believer that if you're having a fabulous day, post a blog, tweet it, post it on Facebook... because we all have shitty days from time to time and it's good to read back things and capture a day when we felt so damn good.

Today is one of those days.

Vector Week!

I'm SO excited for Vector Week next week :eager: - I really can't contain my excitement! I've been double checking and triple checking things today and there are some fantastic events which are going to be happening!

2 featured chat events!
1 Trivia event hosted by #vector-artists!
1 EPIC vector contest!
1 Vector Orgy hosted by #vexelove!
The Golden Pen Award winner annoucements!
and many other things!

Seriously, I'd make a good vibrator as I'm shaking so much in excitement! I hope you guys can join in on the fun during the week! :D

Argh I wrote a huge essay but my frigging browser crashed with the awesomeness.

Basically because of swine flu and a mix of not sticking to my diet for 3 weeks over the holidays, I lost 3lbs when I was weighed on the 3rd January.

I have motivation to lose weight for medical reasons. I have PCOS and because of this, I have problems with body hair. I'm not insecure over my body, Paul loves me and my big boobs, but having to shave my neck and chin really gets to me. I need to get my BMI lower to go on the pill which reduces body hair over a 6 month period. That and I want to get back into my gothic size 16-18 clothing again! When I started this diet, I was a size 22, now I'm a size 20, so I'm slowly getting there!

I think you need some motivation to lose the weight. Losing weight because it's good for you to be a healthier size doesn't motivate me, I've been a big girl all my life! If I really had a problem with the way I looked weight wise, I would have been slimmer a much longer time ago!!! So the thought of being able to not need to photoshop my chin and not needing to shave my neck is what is motivating me :)

Aww gosh hun, I can completely understand, I have PCOS too, and have always been a big girl..even when I wasn't 'fat' as a kid, I was always taller and bigger than the other kids in school. But when puberty hit, I piled on the pounds, always had the excess hair, was told at age 13 that I'd most likely never be able to have children...but was never given a reason or a diagnosis until about 10 years ago, when I was asked by my GP if I'd ever been diagnosed with PCOS, at which time I was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes :hmm: Such a wonderful assortment of problems with PCOS, isn't it? I'm a size 26...I got down to 20 a few years ago, so I know I can do it...it's just the will power and not being able to do much exercise at the moment due to some other problems. Soon as I get well again I'm going to start...already got my bike out of the shed and dusted it off, so having it sitting there staring at me is helping..lol I never had any luck with the pill helping with my excess hair, but then it usually made me too sick and I couldn't take it for long, so I hope it works for you! I wish you all the luck in the world sweetie, you're doing SO great so far, keep going!!

I heard about PCOS about 10 years ago and it took me about 2 years to get diagonsed for it. Yanno when you heard a whole list of symptons and you just KNOW that explains everything?

I mean I didn't start my period until I was 16 but I had arm pit and leg hair when I was 11! I have 1 period every year and a half if I'm lucky. Not just those but many other of the symptons.

It wasn't until I pushed for them to scan my ovaries to see if I had the "cysts" that they finally diagnosed me. I mean you can't argue with a fuck load of "cysts" on your ovaries now can you? :giggle: - you know why I'm saying "cysts" - for anyone that reads this comment, they are not what you'd usually regard as cysts as they are eggs which cling onto the outside of the ovaries instead of travelling down your tubes.

I forget the BMI I need to get down to, I think I need to get to 29/30 but at the moment I'm 36, so I've got a long way to go!

The exercise thing, I'm trying to build up slowly... I actually started this week! So hoping it will have an effect :)

 I had that same feeling when I was diagnosed, the whole list of symptoms described me perfectly, and while it was kind of a shock to get the diagnosis, at the same time it was sort of a relief to finally have a name to put with all this junk I'd dealt with for so long. I started my period when I was 11...and had all the hair to go along with it. Then when my periods were so irregular, I was dragged to the doctor, my mother certain that I was pregnant *eyeroll*...so embarassing, especially at that age, jeeze, boys still had cooties! My periods have been like clockwork for the past couple of years now, but the last few have been odd...one put me in hospital, and the last couple have been barely there...maybe I'm going through the change of life or something lol Who knows

Exercise will definitely help with the weight loss!
