all of them, who doesn't enjoy some form of "perfection" or watch someone working their way to their style or "wip" people... i also really like watching any and all people who work in my genre and of course my friends.

I watch both the "Work in Progress" artists and the "Awesome" artists. The awesome artists give me inspiration and a goal to achieve with my art, as well as something cool look at when I'm tired of my own crap, and the WiP artists give me someone I can talk to who's in the same boat as myself and give me a frame of reference for my own development.

Don't compare yourself to anyone - it's not that healthy! It's good to be competitive maybe against them, but don't see it as a barometer of how your development is going :(

It's not so much that I'm comparing myself to the people I follow (although I do do that, to be sure), so much as that I really enjoy seeing people and things grow and change over time, especially when it comes to me and my own abilities. I look back at what I drew when I was first starting out, or even more recently, and like to be able to say "Hey, I really have improved since then," even if it's just a little. And when I look at other more experienced artists and go to the way back of their gallery when they weren't quite as good as they are now, I see that even they have improved from some earlier point, and that gives me more confidence in my own work and the inspiration to improve.

When I first joined, I only watched friends. Sometimes people who fave something of mine have awesome galleries, so I watch them. That's pretty much how it goes now, just someone catches my eye.
