I put raster because I thought I didn't vote in the poll last time and thought you put the same question again. Only after I voted, and clicked to see it, did I see the poll on the other side and was like oh there goes it

It gives me a hassle every now and again. I just draw a big brush shapearound my lines, convert it from stroke to fill, and make sure it's under mylines and just have the pathfinder have it's way with it lately. Makes real useful when all of the lines aren't closed too

Is the harsh lines not because you're viewing it in Illustrator? I experience this also, but if you go to File > Save for web & devices and preview it there, you shouldn't see the harsh lines

No, I mean I always end up coloring the wrong stuff, can't expand it, stuff like that. So, yeah, if all my lines are closed, I color with a big marquee box. If they aren't closed, I find out where and close 'em

The Live Paint tool IS vector!

If you try using the Live Paint tool and then expand the object you've created, you'll see it is made up of several shapes which are all scalable!
