I say go nuts with it. Red with a few green locks framing your face.

Otherwise, I say keep the Magenta. I think it looks nice having the roots a different color than the rest of the hair. Besides, it's not like anyone is going to try and go "See, I KNEW you weren't a natural magenta-head!"
